here we have j.lidell's new single 'another day'. i don't know about you but it sounds/seems like pretty standard stuff. don't get me wrong i think its a good song, just normal/not different. james has a good voice and all but no one, other than divorced dudes/chicks over 35, listen to adult contemporary soul grooves. other than that the new disc should be pretty good. enjoy the soul.

The End is Near: Part 2

alright i'm starting a new thing here at The New Scream Times and it's titled The End is Near. these posts will deal with robots/animals doing human things. the basic reason for this stuff is simple; it scares the shit out of me. i've seen enough movies with killer robots to know that it's a slippery slope we're headed down. but until the war i'm just gonna post youtube videos.

alright earlier this week i posted a video of a robot pouring a coke and sitting in a chair. in this video some college aged nerds programed a robot to play guitar hero. this fucking robot plays on expert. i've played a lot of guitar hero and i can't touch expert. it's over people. better get your lost dvds and martini glasses to the bomb shelter as soon as possible.

Radiohead Clowns Conan/Play Green

radiohead performed 'house of cards' last night from london on late night with conan o'brien. i do realize that radiohead is a very conscience band but i don't really see what was sooooo green about this performance. just because mother(fucking) earth gets a full week this year (earth week) doesn't mean that everyone gets to act they are all for the environment. again don't get me wrong i'm all for spreading awareness for these certain issues, but i don't to hear bill o'reilly talk about front loading washing machines. i swear to god that guy probably drives a hummer that only runs on coal and panda blood and spews straight smog/right wing propaganda right out its fucking tailpipe.

New Kells Video

i think i should say this off the bat, i am one of robert kelly's most loyal fans. i don't know how to explain it but i just love like kells. i have bought almost all of his records and i have an r.kelly tp.3 reloaded poster in my room (see the picture of my friend duke flywalker stuntin' with r.). alright well his new song is entitled 'hair braider' in which r. sings about getting with the girl braiding his hair (that goes without saying right). anyway this song is fire and will be bumped at college/high school/junior high/dinner parties for the next couple of months. thank you r.kelly for giving us something quite clownish but also very much awesome ala 'i'm a flirt'. you never fail to amaze me robert. great work.

Preppy Buzz Band Gets High School Band to Back 'em Up

vampire weekend performed 'cape cod kawassa kwassa' last night on jimmy kimmel live with the crenshaw high school drumline banging away to the lead singers squealing voice. see i actually like vampire weekend's debut but they are going down a strange road right now. they are starting to look like one of those bands that put out a good debut, get way more press than they should and then can never live up their original success. i hope that doesn't happen but right now i would put my money on a pretty large sophomore slump. sorry dudes. prove me wrong.

hamlet 2 stars steve coogan as a failed actor who becomes a high school drama teacher and writes a musical sequel to, you guessed it, shakespeare's hamlet.  along with coogan hamlet 2 stars catherine keener, amy poehler and it also, as the trailer states, reintroduces elisabeth shue as elizabeth shue (see what they did there) .  as of right now this and the seth rogen/james franco helmed pineapple express look as if they are going to be the funniest movies of the summer.  only time and the amount of pot i am able to get my hands on for showtime will tell.

Ryan Leslie vs. G-Unit

well here we go again with a battle of the songs (click here for last weeks match-up). we once again have g-unit trying to beat the original song which they stole. this time it's ryan leslie's 'diamond girl' vs. g-unit's 'bottom girl'. both songs bang in their own way, but i am going to have to go with the gorillaz on this one. I think this is one of the only tracks i can handle with tony cocaine. let me know what you think...

Kidz in the Hall - Drivin Down the Block video

here is the first single/video from the new Kidz in the Hall disc. They choose to film it like an early 90s commercial and it actually works well. they bust out some straight left to right ole hip-hop moves. what makes this even funnier for me is that the local ads here in state college still look like this. i just want to know if the owners of the suzuki dealerships in our town have ever ventured outside of the 814. if they had they would probably throw more than a subscription to guns & ammo and a life time supply of milano bread at their respective ad agency. just a thought.

Snoop Dogg Sings in German

in this amazing german commercial we get Snoop Dogg singing and impersonating german folk singer Roy Black. to be honest i have no fucking clue who Roy Black is but just the fact that the big boss dogg is singing german will put a smile on your face. I know it did mine. Also confusion/outrage has rung out amongst snoop's fans. we thought he wasn't allowed to leave the country but i guess germany has always had a rep of being welcoming to things that are different. hooray for diversity.

'Killing me won't bring back your honey'

well it’s the second week here at The New Scream Times and i figure what better way to celebrate than by posting some videos from the Nic Cage masterpiece The Wicker Man. In these videos Oscar winner Cage finally gets a chance to show his acting range by wearing a bear suit, screaming at CG bees, and punching bitches square in the face. personally i have yet to see this movie, but i suffice it to think that i am getting my internet's money’s worth in these free youtube clips.
