Kid From Even Stevens Grows Beard?

here is the new trailer for shia labouf's new thriller eagle eye. this trailer is amazingly vague as to what it's about so here is a synopsis: A young slacker and a single mom get tangled up in a terrorist cell plotting a political assassination (imdb). the single mom is played by michelle monaghan and the film also stars billy bob thorton and rosario dawson. this seems like it could be pretty awesome, but i'm going to let my judgment of the new indy jones film be my guide. if he sucks in indy than i will never watch another one of his movies again. harsh, maybe. justified, of course i am (have you seen holes, the kids movie not the porno of 7 parts).

'Even You Must Be Into You'

well the flight of the conchords have a new record that came out a few weeks ago and i thought that would hold me over until the new season of their self titled show on hbo, but shit was i wrong. below is the video for their single 'ladies of the world' and just seeing this clips makes me sad that we don't even know when we can see more of FOTC. i blame the state of television comedy/drama on the money grubbing writer's strike. if someone can explain to me what they got in return for the rise of some of the worst 'reality' shows ever to air, please fill me in. i'm blaming the writer's strike for such 'reality' crap as groomer has it, i survived a japanese game show, survivor who cares, and the x effect. the one great unscripted show to happen during said strike was america's best dance crew. that show kicks the ass of every other show on 'MUSIC' television.

I Want Volleyball Biceps -The Movie-

so there is a new doc about steroids entitled bigger stronger faster* and i have no desire to see it. i love docs but the idea of steroids in baseball was bad enough for me. even though this looks very interesting i really don't think i will waste my time with it. as i have said before i am an equal opportunity video post person, so if you wanna sit through a movie that will kill a lot of your former sports idols go on ahead. i would rather watch a marathon of little people big world than see this.

Human Tetris Comes To The USA!!

ok the actual show, which airs on fuji tv in japan, is called hole in the wall but human tetris is a better title. never the less i have loved this idea ever since my friends and i got stoned and found it in the depths of youtube. the concept is a thing sheer brilliance and i can't wait for the fox network to completely exploit it. as long as it's nothing like the moment of truth i will be thoroughly satisfied. if you have never witnessed the wonder of small asian men (but sometimes you get the 300 pound 7 foot dude) trying to jump through foam board cut outs, don't fear you can see a few videos below. god damn i wish i could watch new episodes of this right now.

New Beck Track

here's the new track from beck called 'chemtrails'. you can stream it by going to beck's ilike website, which you can find a link to below. this is he first track from beck new record which is produced by music super genius dangermouse. i read somewhere that the disc is 12 tracks and 30 minutes long. this would mean that each track would have to be around 2 minutes and 40 seconds. sounds like a pretty cool idea but i could also see it being a mess at the same time. only time will tell

'It's Funny Cause It's Racist'

this has been the one thing i've been waiting to post since saturday. in this snl digital short ricky gervais lets us know where he got his inspiration for the british version of the office. pretty inspired stuff here. i just want to know why ricky has yet to host snl. i think he would be great, but that's beside the point. enjoy the clip.

Ben Stiller Missed ¡Three Amigos!

so ben stiller has written and directed a new film entitled tropic thunder which stars stiller, jack black, and a 'black-faced' robert downy jr. now don't get me wrong this looks like a funny movie but this just seems to be just a combination of a few different 80s comedies. first off the whole story is a complete rip off of the chevy chase, steve martin, martin short comedy classic ¡Three Amigos! if you are an idiot and have never seen amigos the story goes like this: Three unemployed actors accept an invitation to a Mexican village to replay their bandit fighter roles, unaware that it is the real thing (imdb). now the second movie thrunder is stealing from (although inderectly) is c. thomas howell's soul man (To achieve his dream of attending Harvard, a pampered teen poses as a young black man to receive a full scholarship. Cut Copy Dude Gets Rained On

here's the new video for cut copy's song 'hearts on fire'. good song, pretty stupid video. the director's pitch to cut copy probably went something like this, 'alright, have you seen that movie the truman show? yes? remember that part where he is the only part of his entire universe getting rained on? i always thought that was brilliant/funny and i want your whole video to be that scene.' i have a feeling that's exactly how it went.

Australia Was Part of WW2, OK...

here we have the first trailer for baz 'everybody's free to wear sunscreen' luhrmann's new film australia. the film stars nicole kidman and hugh jackman and is set one that island that was once a massive prison for the brits. judging by the trailer jackman rides a horse the whole time while mrs. keith urban tells the story to a small child. sounds stupid. could be good. i'm not sure where i stand. by the by hugh jackman's character is simply called 'the drover'. just thought you would be better off knowing that.

All Apolgies

so i know that i have been gone for a while but don't you worry kiddos, i'm back. the reason for my absence is quite simple, the motherboard on my piece of shit dell is fried. i am making a promise to you people who read TNSTs that i will make up for my lack of posts in the past couple of weeks. more videos, more music, and more crap all together. enjoy the second coming of lacroix lacroix and the new scream times.
