Spike Lee Shows WWII What's Up

coming off his tirade with clint eastwood a week ago (which you can find out about here) we get the poster (above) and trailer (below) for spike lee's miracle at st. anna. the story goes like this: Miracle at St. Anna chronicles the story of four black American soldiers who are members of the US Army as part of the all-black 92nd Buffalo Soldier Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy during World War II. They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy (imdb). i haven't had a lot of faith in spike lee joints over the last few years, but i am very interested to see what he can do with a world war two drama. as long as we don't get sperm with derek luke's head swimming to impregnate an egg, i.e. she hate me, i think we might be alright.

How Do We Pronounce This Bill?

if you have ever watched an episode of real time with bill maher you probably got the impression that maher isn't really a fan of organized religions. anyway he made a movie entitled religulous which is about as close to a one worded tongue twister as i can possibly wrap my mind around. it's a documentary and i'm going to go ahead and call that this is going to be funny because maher is going to make people who with some sort of beliefs look stupid. you might call it cruel but i call it high class entertainment.

for anyone who has seen indiana jones and the fridge nuke vine swing you got a chance to lay your eyes on the trailer for brad pitt and david fincher's new film the curious case of benjamin button (which is in fact based on a story by f. scott fitzgerald). the story goes like this: button is born an old man and as he ages in time his body getting younger. seems interesting and cool, but it's only a trailer with about 6-7 words spoken. i don't think i would want to be ben button because who wants erectile dysfunction while going through puberty, no one that's who.

Well This Is Happening (New Contributor)

New blogger is one who appears dead behind the eyes.

since i have been struggling to get posts up because i've been without a computer, i have been doing some thinking about the future of TNST. while pondering and sitting in an air conditioned room, i decided to add another contributor to the times. his blogger name has yet to be decided but he will be adding more videos and we are also going to start doing record and film reviews as well. so stay tuned, some new cool stuff is about to go down i think. here's hoping.

Red-Band Trailers Seem To Be Hip

first off sorry for the delay between these posts i have once again been without a computer, but those days are soon to be over. anyway here we have the new red-band trailer for wanted, the action movie with mrs. brad pitt and red from shawshank. we get a little bit more of the story but chances are this film will be all bullets through brains and curses and no plot to be found. even so that's not gonna stop me from seeing it simply for a bit of jolie cleavage.

well we once again end up in gloucester, england (which was made famous last week for holding a cheese rolling comp, which you can see in the previous post) which hosted the british shin kick championship 2008. i wish this was something i made up but this is 100% real. this is soo stupid and soo entertaining at the same time. it's kind of like indy jones but without a fridge-nuke scene or even steven's swinging with monkeys.
