Comedy Appears To Be Dying

Get It?

so here we have the trailer for disaster movie which comes to us from the cock-punchers behind date movie, epic movie, and meet the spartans.  i want to know when the genre of spoof went from the inspired gags of the naked gun trilogy, the first austin powers, and top secret! (still val kilmer's finest role) to strictly sight gags based on pop culture references.  the worst part about this apparent new era of spoof flicks is that the dumbest americans actually pay to see this bullshit.  meet the spartans went to number one at the box office opening weekend for christ's sake.  i have another question: how are the movies enchanted, iron man, hancock, the incredible hulk, juno, and sex and the city considered disaster movies?  if anyone can tell me i think this movie would just make less sense.  i'm begging anyone who has ever laughed at a movie that was not just based on people getting hit by cars, getting flattened by cows, and hearing/seeing constant dick and shit jokes please spread the word so this movie will die and we will never see the likes of this again.

aright here we have the video for dwele's new single 'i'm cheatin'.  if you are unaware of dwele kanye featured him on his latest single 'flashing lights'.  anyway this song is just a down and dirty soul jam about getting some behind your girls back.  dwele's new record sketches of a man on koch records drops tomorrow.

Ben Kingsley Loves Pot

the red-band trailer for the wackness makes this movie look even funnier than i previously assumed.  if you are unaware what said wackness entails, read up: this movie is basically about a kid (josh peck [drake and josh which was on nickelodeon, i bet their happy about this]) who sells pot out of an ice cream wagon, trades weed to his therapist (kingsley) for sessions, tries to fuck his therapist's daughter, and loves hip hop and method man doing a jamaican accent (synopsis brought to you by lacroix lacroix).  every piece of video i see for this makes it look better and better.  i mean it won some award at sundance but that doesn't always make a movie a winner.  take little miss piece of shit  & pregant 16 year old and the quippy dialogue as examples, just because they win awards doesn't mean they are good or even decent.  yeah fuck you too diablow cody.

New Action Figure Movie Get's Real Title

first off i want give a good ole fuck you to transformers for starting the new trend in hollywood that action figures have enough story among them (and karate arm action) to warrant a huge hollywood production.  next summer we get g.i. joe: rise of cobra but i perfer my title: g.i. joe: does anyone remember us other than crusty nerds and high school kids who think nostalgia is funny?  anyway below you can find one of the stars of joe (joseph gordon-levitt from brick and 30 rock from the sun [you will never escape it levitt]) going straight crazy over this piece of shit.  calm down asshole it's going to suck and you know it as well as i do.  i thought you were better than this.

We Are Not The Same/I Am A Martian

weezy f. baby pereformed  'a milli' on friday on pete wentz's fnmtv, which is mtv's attempt to bring the music video form back to mtv since all we get now is reality shows and the occasional reporting from john 'am i gay or not?' norris.  the idea for this show is actually pretty interesting.  on friday they premiere performances and new music videos then they give fans the chance to review them throughout the next week.  check the show out it's on fridays at 8.  

America To Mike Myers: Go Fuck Yourself

so this weekend's box office results came out today and guess what, the love guru, mike myers' ode to justin timberlake's dick (see clip below)was seen by only the people who never set their eyes on the numerous trailers and tv spots to air in the last two months.  entertainment weekly's initial estimate for guru's box office returns was 30 million beans, but it turns out that myers tale of dick and shit jokes brought in less than half of that, 14 million to be exact (placing it fourth in its first week).  is this sad to anyone else?  i will always be a fan of his early works (wayne's world 1 & 2, austin powers 1) but i think it's safe to say that he will never top said works.  you had a good fun mike, a really good run.

R.I.P. Mr. Carlin

george carlin, legendary comedian, and actor, died yesterday of heart failure.  he will be missed by anyone who ever tuned into one of his 14 hbo comedy sepecials, movies, or even bill and ted's excellent adventure.  there is not much more to say other than rest in peace george.  rest in peace. enjoy the classic carlin clip below

In Case You Haven't Heard

Ya Boy R.Kelly was found NOT GUILTY on all 14 counts including child prono. to be honest with you i have no idea how this happened. being a super fan to kells i have been keeping up with this trial. being that i am a super fan i will not revel how how i feel on either side of the r.kelly child fuck videos conviction. an fbi video forensic scientist matched a mole on r.'s back to a mole in the said fuck vid. a week later kells got his own video scientist to disprove the matching mole. and i guess the jury bought it. it even took them less than one day to go through ALL evidence and set robert free once again. to celebrate mr.kelly's acquittal check out a classic r.kelly video, 'half on a baby'.
