so here we have the trailer for disaster movie which comes to us from the cock-punchers behind date movie, epic movie, and meet the spartans. i want to know when the genre of spoof went from the inspired gags of the naked gun trilogy, the first austin powers, and top secret! (still val kilmer's finest role) to strictly sight gags based on pop culture references. the worst part about this apparent new era of spoof flicks is that the dumbest americans actually pay to see this bullshit. meet the spartans went to number one at the box office opening weekend for christ's sake. i have another question: how are the movies enchanted, iron man, hancock, the incredible hulk, juno, and sex and the city considered disaster movies? if anyone can tell me i think this movie would just make less sense. i'm begging anyone who has ever laughed at a movie that was not just based on people getting hit by cars, getting flattened by cows, and hearing/seeing constant dick and shit jokes please spread the word so this movie will die and we will never see the likes of this again.
