so this weekend's box office results came out today and guess what, the love guru, mike myers' ode to justin timberlake's dick (see clip below)was seen by only the people who never set their eyes on the numerous trailers and tv spots to air in the last two months. entertainment weekly's initial estimate for guru's box office returns was 30 million beans, but it turns out that myers tale of dick and shit jokes brought in less than half of that, 14 million to be exact (placing it fourth in its first week). is this sad to anyone else? i will always be a fan of his early works (wayne's world 1 & 2, austin powers 1) but i think it's safe to say that he will never top said works. you had a good fun mike, a really good run.
